No, the registry is quite logical when you know your way around it.

It's not in one big file, there are lots of small hidden .dat files that are
brought together when you run something like regedit. Accessing the
registry on Windows is by no means fast and on a 9X machine, there is a size
limit of 64K.

The RAM Disk on the Amiga is one of the things that separates it from other
OSes. I have never seen one that automatically adjusts its size on any
other platform. The good thing about it is when you reset all your settings
are restored from envarc:. Therefore it's more difficult to screw something
up. When you apply something to the registry it has an instant effect.

P.S. Have a guess who didn't realise that egroups requires a confirmation
e-mail when you *unsub* therefore had 970 mails waiting when he got back
from hols. Bet you can't guess?
